Philosophy

Philosophy is both a subject and a way of thinking.  Students learn how to reflect on their views, give reasons for them, and understand and evaluate other positions and arguments.  Philosophy develops creative thinking, communication and problem-solving skills which are invaluable, in every chosen profession.

Macquarie offers a wide variety of courses in different traditions of philosophical thought and techniques.
