Editor's Note
The third Newcastle-Macquarie Humanities Symposium was held 21st February 2009 at Macquarie University on the theme ‘The Informers’. I thank Kim Wilson for her initial editorial efforts, and I am happy to now be able to present the 2009 issue of the Macquarie University and University of Newcastle eJournal Humanity. Humanity 2009 features an edited selection of papers presented during the Symposium.
We are grateful to Associate Professor Marea Mitchell for her guidance throughout the planning of the event and editing of the journal and to Macquarie University and University of Newcastle Humanities/Arts HDR team for their work in promoting it.
