The Bribir excavation functions as a field school, with students being trained by the senior members of the team in excavation methods and techniques, archaeological drawing, topography, geophysical surveying techniques, cataloguing, basic conservation methods, photogrammetry, architectural reconstruction, sampling techniques, use of specific software, etc.

Dates: 17th of April – 7th of May 2017 (3 weeks)

Cost:
150 HRK/day, which cover the expenses for food, accommodation and transportation to the site. Additionally, volunteers will need to cover the cost of their airfare to Split (we arrange the pick up from the airport). For example, the price of a flight ticket from Sydney to Split is roughly 2000 AUD. Students who meet the prerequisites for AHIS346: Archaeological Fieldwork (39 credit points) may be eligible for a PACE Travel Grant of $1700.
