Description of Internship Opportunity

Macquarie Sustainability has an important role to play in promoting sustainable transport options and reducing traffic congestion. In Semester 1 2017, Macquarie Sustainability will be promoting the Co-Hop program to enable students to quickly find a carpool match, public transport and cycle/walk options. We are looking for two enthusiastic and motivated students to work closely with staff from Macquarie Sustainability to assist with the coordination and implementation of the Co-Hop campaign.


What you’ll gain:

The role:

  • Assist in developing a social media plan to promote Co-Hop for the next 12 months
  • Content development for internal purposes
  • Participating in brainstorm sessions
  • Developing, writing, shooting and editing vox-pops of Macquarie students and how they transport to/from campus

Any particular fields of study or skills?

  • Applicants with interest and some experience in camera operation and video editing are preferred.
  • Capable of writing engaging content.
  • Interest or passion for sustainability and creating positive environmental outcomes desirable.
  • All applicants should possess initiative, perseverance, creativity, and the ability to work without direct supervision.
  • Applicants should feel comfortable in expressing ideas for improvement and thinking outside the box.
